PROSPECTIVE FOR:

Volcanogenic zinc-lead-copper-silver-gold massive sulphide deposits.

PROPERTY SIZE:
  • 95 mineral claims

  • 2,375 hectares

  • 23.75 square kilometers
PROPERTY LOCATION:

Central Newfoundland.
45 km northeast by road from Messina's Boomerang mineral resource.
20 km southwest by road from the Duck Pond Mine.

OWNERSHIP INTEREST:

100% Messina with no underlying royalties on 36 mineral claims. Messina owns 100% of 56 additional claims which have a net smelter return royalty payable of up to 3%, depending upon the claim block.

Highlights:
The property hosts altered felsic volcanics of the Tulks Volcanic belt. Previous exploration identified a mineralized "debris flow" unit which contains base metal enriched massive sulphide clasts assaying 20.1% zinc, 12.1% lead, 0.6% copper, 67 g/t silver and 0.3 g/t gold. Debris flow units of this type are a favourable indication of nearby massive sulphide deposits. Messina's prospecting in 2006 discovered a massive sulphide boulder which assayed 11.3% copper and 24 g/t silver. The property covers a 10 kilometer strike length of prospective stratigraphy with historical gravity and EM geophysical anomalies, and soil geochemical anomalies which remain to be followed up.

This property is generative in nature and is at an early stage of exploration.
